Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started and how long will I need to go?
Simply email me at . I will then contact you for a short 15-minute talk about what you are looking for and how I may be able to help. If it seems like a good fit together, we will start the intake process. At your first session, you'll share more in-depth with me about your story and your goals, and so we will come up with a plan for how many sessions you might need and what they will look like.
Is what I say in session confidential?
What you disclose in session is confidential and will be kept between you and me, with a couple of exceptions. Some of those exceptions are if there is a danger of harm to yourself or someone else, a suspicion of abuse or neglect, or an organization is requesting a report. If needed, we will discuss together what may warrant it before any break in confidentiality is actually done.
Do you diagnose and prescribe medication?
No. I am not a medical doctor or a psychiatrist. I do not diagnose any conditions, neither do I provide prescriptions. If I see that there may be an underlying cause for further investigation, I may suggest that you see a medical doctor.
Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance.
In fact, at this time, my services are provided on a donation basis. Giving what you think is appropriate for the support you are receiving is up to you, though I will say that I cannot accept credit cards of any kind. Donations may be made by bank transfer or cash.
